Located in Yellowstone’s northeast corner, the Absaroka Mountains provide a breath-taking view, stretching into high rugged peaks that are as much as 11,000 feet high. This view is worth a million dollars but can be seen for free. From Soda Butte, drive northwest for 14 miles on the Northeast Entrance Road to tour these mountains. Pass Pebble Creek, through Ice Box Canyon, and Barronette Peak.
