When in Rome, or in this case, when in Crater Lake. We were technically at a campground just outside of Crater Lake but it was only a half hour drive to reach our initial destination. We spent most of the day driving the three hour route circumferencing the lake, pulling off and taking photos at all of our favorite pit-stop points.

Just after lunch, which was more a snack than a lunch and consisted of apples with havarti cheese, we hiked the Mount Scott trail. The trail was steep and, according to alltrails, is 4.2 miles with a 1260 foot incline. It was a fairly moderate hike, and I was certainly not in great shape for it.
