Today is our last day in Yosemite National Park and so we started our day by packing up camp at Crane Flats campground and made sure that I had all of the camping necessities I might need for the coming month and the backpacking trip I had planned for the first week of September near San Francisco.

We stopped at Curry Village for breakfast, an everything bagel and a chai latte, and T-shirt shopping. We asked around about possible campsites for the night and ate lunch jut outside the park at the Jackalope Bar and Grill in the Tenaya Lodge, red curry shrimp noodle dish, before proceeding back into the park to Mariposa Grove, just at the southern edge. Mariposa Grove is a gorgeous part of the park that is made somewhat cooler than the more popular areas by the shade provided by the Giant Sequoias dappling this area. We spent about two hours wandering this newly restored section of the park before driving to Fresno to stay the night at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham.
