Located in Yellowstone, following the Northeast Entrance Road past the Lamar Valley leads to Soda Butte Creek. This is not only a popular fishing area, both for its free and easy access and promising trout availability, but also boasts a now extinct geothermal sight for which it’s named. The extinct geyser is now a large white cone named Soda Butte and an interpretive sign and pullout can be found on the east side of the road.
