Located just outside of Yellowstone in Gardiner, Montana, the Yellowstone Heritage and Research Center is home to the park library which features 5.3 million archival objects, an archaeological lab, an herbarium, and a rotating museum collection. Public tours are free every Wednesday at 2 pm during the Summer but require a reservation which can be made over the phone. This is a great landmark to gain historic insights about every era of the park!
